Taxsh plays a lot with density as a means to engage and open new surface area. Born in Switzerland and based in Lisbon, the artist was shaped by the queer undergrounds of Coimbra and her sets feel like messages sent through secret channels, coded into raw and syncopated transmissions finally made audible.
Genre is unimportant. Instead, she drags heavy textures across the floor, relying on rough percussion with just enough groove to keep the ball moving. Hard but never closed, hypnotic but unpredictable, each performance an out of orbit alignment, where weight, force and pattern create room for emotional feedback.
The outcome is a pressure dome, built to hold the body in safety while the evening comes undone, a shift in time, a memory trigger, a redefinition of proximity.
Trajectory locked. Engage.
