Goldie’s drum & bass journey began when cutting-edge experiments were mapping the technical possibilities of this new type of music.
Growing up, he immersed himself in breakdance, graffiti and hip-hop, elements he later integrated into breakbeat culture. And when he founded Metalheadz he was in fact building a sonic blueprint for the future just as the genre was taking off. Layer by layer, breakbeat and vocals were woven into deeply emotive tracks that transcended the club environment and reached living rooms worldwide.
Always pushing music further, it’s no surprise to see Goldie perform a techno set at Neopop. His affinity for the avant-garde remains constant, moving from dnb into neighbouring subgenres, be it in pop, classical or 4/4 territory.
A rebellious spirit through countless evolutions in music, Goldie continues to prove that the final frontier always holds another secret.
