Lenny and Lawrence Burden grew up in Detroit with Barry White and Earth Wind & Fire playing in the background. They would never leave the Motown influence behind, it went straight into the machines. Their 1990 debut announced a group with funk and soul running through the circuitry. Thirty-six years later they still got it.

The same year, they founded 430West and it became their forever home. Both trained musicians, they built their live rig from scratch, a custom setup they call the Mothership. Messages From The Mothership Vol.1 and a Boiler Room Moscow album are proof they are not coasting.

We don’t experience Octave One. We become part of them.
