JOSEPH CAPRIATI b2b LUKE SLATER
Capriati was 11 when Navy kids showed him Louie Vega playing an Angels Of Love party in Naples. A few years on, twelve hours of Dave Clarke and Rino Cerrone got him for good. Under that same Naples school, Capriati built something groovy and relentless, keeping his house and techno influences to this day.
Slater has been in this since the early rave movement, when he held a residenty at Heaven’s Soundshaft, in 1989. Peacefrog, NovaMute, the first non-German artist on Ostgut Ton. In fairness, all his projects are immediately recognisable: Planetary Assault Systems, L.B. Dub Corp, The 7th Plain.
There’s just too much between these two. The kind of story you finish on the dancefloor.
