In 1998, The Advent wrote three tracks for a label Jiggy was going to start. Other projects got in the way, so the DATs sat in a drawer for twenty-five years until Jiggy passed them on to Paraíso, and Shiolas finally came out in 2023. That’s one way a friendship works, right?

Both Portuguese, both architects of what electronic music in this country was to become. Jiggy was the first to play Love Parade, after choosing house and techno as a way of life. Cisco flew from Madeira to London, engineering acid house at Jack Trax even before it was a thing, then built The Advent into one of techno’s most recognisable live acts.
